About Sanofil

Most painting books assume a studio.

Sanofil publishes digital guides for people painting in the space they actually have: a kitchen table, a small set of paints and a few spare hours a week.

A sketchbook, brushes, a pencil and masking tape on a wooden table
A white palette with pools of blue, green, brown and rose paint and brushes in a jar of water

What we publish

Watercolour, explained in plain steps.

Open almost any painting book and it quietly assumes a studio, professional materials and years of practice. That is not much use if what you have is a kitchen table and a busy week.

Sanofil guides are written for home painters from the first page. They cover which materials matter, how water and pigment behave, and what to do when a painting goes wrong — in the order you will need it.

Everything we sell is a digital eBook. There are no printed books and nothing is shipped.

How we write

Three rules for every guide.

  1. The kitchen table comes first

If a method only works with a studio or expensive materials, it does not go in.

  2. Sequence over volume

A short guide in the right order is more useful than a long one you have to untangle. Each chapter covers one decision or one job.

  3. Plain English

Short sentences, specific instructions, and an explanation of why — so you can adapt the method to your own paints and paper.

What we will not do

A few promises about what you will not find here.

  • No guaranteed resultsPainting depends on materials, practice and individual skill. Results vary, and we say so.
  • No invented reviews or ratingsYou will not see made-up testimonials or star scores on this site.
  • No false urgencyDigital guides do not run out. There are no countdown timers or fake stock warnings.
  • No shortcuts promisedOur guides are general educational material about watercolour painting. Skill comes with practice, and we do not pretend otherwise.
